RSVP Deadline
Please RSVP ASAP so we know how many people will be joining us!

Food
We will be doing a barbeque! Meat, non-meat, potluck salads and sides, and desserts! If you're able to, we'd love it if you could bring your favourite side dish to make this even more delicious!

Drink
We will have a selection of delicious non-alcoholic drinks on hand, and an unlimited supply of water! We will offer a limited* open bar until midnight (but celebrations will continue around the fire until late).*we will have beer, wine, and a few basic cocktails.

Dietary Concerns
Please let us know of any dietary concerns when you RSVP. We will have vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options, with separate serving and grill spaces for gluten-free. If you have a severe allergy we will contact you directly to work something out.

Guest Numbers
We wanted to be able to throw a party with many wonderful people, so that means three things:
1. We've invited several hundred people. This will be a loud and joyful wedding!
2. There will be many great conversations and lots of dancing going on!
3. The food won't be super fancy (see "Food" item above).

Kids
Kids are most welcome! We will have a separate (unsupervised) kid's tent beside the main tent, and there is a whole island that they can explore, if they are old enough for that.

Mobility Concerns
Please let us know if you're worried that the outdoor wedding will be inaccessible. We'd love for you to join us, and we will work hard to make that possible!

Washrooms & Showers
We will have nice washrooms brought in (it won't even feel like camping!) and there are coin-operated showers ($0.25 for three minutes) a ten-minute walk away.

About the Dance Floor
We will have a dance floor! It will be a wood (not vinyl) assembled floor, located in the pavilion on top of concrete. Our amazing DJ Gab will keep you dancing all night long!

Beginner Dance Lesson
Don't know how to dance? No problem! There will be a beginner lesson offered during the evening, so bring your shoes and learn (or brush up on) this thing that we love to do!

Arrival Times
We'll need to stagger arrival times so as not to overwhelm the parking area.
If your last name starts with A–K, please arrive no later than 3:15 p.m.
If your last name starts with L–Z, please arrive no later than 3:45 p.m.

If you'd like to arrive early for any reason, you are welcome to arrive in the 3:15 p.m. cohort.

Ceremony & Reception Times
The ceremony will start at 4:00 p.m. Group photos will follow, then food around 6:00 p.m., and dancing and revelry until you can't stay up any longer!

Travel Directions
Driving: take highway 6 north of Guelph.Right on Conservation Road.
(follow the signs from here on in!)
Right at the stop sign.
Left at the T-intersection.
Right at the fork.
Drive straight onto the island!

If you have space in your car and wouldn't mind extra company, please take a look at our carpool sign-up!

Park Fees
We will cover your park entry fee if you tell the ranger at the park entry that you're part of the Slonetsky/Armstrong Wedding.

Parking
Although we're calling it the Island, you can see in the photo above that it's a peninsula. Drive right onto the Island and follow the signs for parking.

Attire
Wear something you feel fantastic and comfortable in!

We will be fancier for the ceremony (because it's fun to dress up!) and more casual for the evening and dancing the night away.
Some other considerations:
  • Outerwear: We might get weather, so bring suitable outerwear for when you are not under the tent.
  • Footwear: The island is grassy, so heels or other pointy/delicate shoes are not recommended.
  • Bottoms: We'll be climbing into picnic tables for the evening, so
consider non-restrictive pants/skirts/shorts/kilts/other bottoms.

Weather
Rain or shine, this wedding will go on! In case of rain, we will hold all the festivities under the tent and pavilion. Please bring rain gear for the walk between your vehicle and the tent, and choose your
footwear wisely.

Mosquitos
We will be putting out mosquito traps the day before the wedding to lure those bloodsuckers far, far away! We will also have OFF! mosquito spray on hand, but feel free to bring your own as well.

Sunday Brunch & Cleanup Party
We'll be providing Sunday brunch (with a significant quality bacon component!) for those who are sticking around for the cleanup party on Sunday afternoon.

Bonfire
The bonfire will start around sundown and continue until everyone goes to sleep. Bring your musical instruments and your favourite songs!
