The honeymoon

"You know what would be ridiculous and amazing? If we went on a cycling trip for our honeymoon." "Across Europe." "For two months." 

As you can see, our plans tend to get better and better the more we talk. We're now off on a once-in-a-lifetime trip and we feel incredibly fortunate and grateful to everything and everyone who helped make this happen!

Some of the things required to plan a trip like this:

• time to set the bikes up for touring
• camping in November (not as cold as anticipated!)
• re-waterproofing the tent (much more time than anticipated)
• testing the re-waterproofed tent in February in a wet weather warning (just as dry as hoped)
• completing Pittsburgh–Toronto kickstand relay (huge thanks to Emily, Matt, and Ian!)
• thanking the most patient roommate ever (Jemma, you're a saint!)
• booking castle in Italy to house us plus four parents plus three brothers and Sarah (for us, bringing our two families together is a wonderful part of our marriage)
• packing everything, including the bikes and camping gear and computer and camera gear to head off on a crazy adventure!
